DREAM BIG AND MAKE IT HAPPEN

Autumn is coming and the days are getting shorter, as we switch off the air conditioner and turn on the heater. Dreams of faraway places, inspirational people or simply making a delicious lamb shank pie, means this issue of GRIND™ is the perfect inspiration to fire the imagination, while curled up with a perfect cup of coffee.

Strengths come in many shapes and forms, as this issue’s cover girl, Jessica Watson demonstrates. Join GRIND™ Magazine as they chat exclusively with the renowned Australian sailor who completed a southern hemisphere solo circumnavigation at the age of 16.

“I was reluctant and kind of terrified of the water on windy days for quite a few years, but because we were constantly around it, I came to enjoy it,” says the Queensland sailor, who offers readers some words of inspiration.

“Choose big goals and work back to the little things you need to do to achieve them. There’s so much inspiration and advice out there. If you want something bad enough, just go out and make it happen.”

Speaking of girl-power, GRIND™ features a story of three generations of women from a very interesting family – bound by blood, but each with their own story to tell, and the importance that generational influence and strong role models has played in their lives.

GRIND™ also examines the role of technology and social media in today’s society. Life in the Digital Age weighs up the pros and cons of technological advancement.

Throw in some delicious recipes, the Bleech Festival, the latest book reviews, national events calendar and how to have a conversation purely in emoji’s and you have the Autumn edition of GRIND™ Magazine, available at your local Zarraffa’s Coffee store, free with your Zarraffa’s Z Card®.

DRIVE THRU NUMBER TWO FOR FRIENDLY DUO

Best friends, Brett Kochner and Terry Flemming have turned their passion for coffee into business success, opening the doors to their second Zarraffa’s drive thru, located in Heathwood, this week.

Kicking off the first store opening this year for the Australian-owned coffee franchise chain, Brett and Terry, who met by chance at their son’s preschool, are thrilled to serve the southern Brisbane community at their new location at 15 Stapylton Road, Heathwood.

The Franchisee partners started their coffee crafting journey almost three years ago, after selling their registration business to focus their energies on Zarraffa’s Coffee.

“We always enjoyed working in the customer service industry. We wanted to involve ourselves as active members in the community and that’s exactly what Zarraffa’s has allowed us to do”, said Brett.

After opening their first Zarraffa’s drive thru store in Richlands in 2013, the dynamic duo worked towards a second store, building a loyal following along the way.

“It’s an exciting time for us. The local community will now be able to grab their favourite coffee on the way through to anywhere, without leaving the comfort of their car.”

“We can’t wait to meet the locals of Heathwood and introduce them to our family of friendly faces, delicious coffee and community spirit.”

The boys have spent three months training staff on crafting coffee skills and stand behind the company’s ethos of serving an ‘individually perfect cup of coffee…every time’.

Located on the corner of the major thoroughfare, just off the Logan motorway, you can pick up your favourite coffee from 5am to 10pm, seven days a week!
