Tell us more about working in your local community:

Through one of our amazing regular customers we were referred to a local school volunteer program. We are delighted to provide ongoing sponsorship with St Joseph’s Tobruk Beenleigh, especially through their Friday morning coffee program “Cuppa with Jenny”. The proceeds of sales go to Sr Jenny’s Providence Bag and is used to finance special needs throughout the community.

We love being a part of the Zarraffa’s community, while also being able to take that positive culture into our local district and connect with our customers, suppliers and team.

We are also proud to support our local community of Eagleby and Beenleigh through our partnership with Nightlight Outreach. Nightlight Outreach provides services that support the homeless and those in desperate need of care and provisions such as meals and “Backpack Swags”.

Every customer is unique – but we have this amazing movement at Zarraffa’s where often a special person starts to “pay it forward” at the drive thru by offering to pay for the car behind them. It’s always so nice to see customer after customer in the drive thru surprised at how nice people are, and the genuine shock that someone would do that for them!

We love the people that we get to work with every day, and the customers who have been with us for 12 years and counting!

Over the years we have partnered with many great local community groups including school sports sponsorships, Rotary and Lions Clubs, local sports teams, dance schools and the local police.

Most recently we were humbled when our store teams decided to donate their tip money collected over a week to the Australian Red Cross supporting the fire victims and crews – they did an amazing job and managed to raise $1,200 in 5 days!

At Christmas a customer came into the store to buy a $100 gift card and asked us to use it to cover everyone’s orders who came in after him! It’s pretty amazing to see so many people’s day made from one gesture like that.

I love the culture between the staff and customers at Zarraffa’s, everyone is super friendly and it’s a great working atmosphere.

We support several local organisations including providing ‘Man of the Match’ awards to the local footy club that I used to belong to. I like that we’re able to give back to our community in so many ways.

We both love that Zarraffa’s prides itself on product quality and consistency, and that we train all of our team members to understand why we make coffee the way we do and to be passionate about our products.

Since the store opened in 2017, we’ve created a loyal customer base who come in every day, and they are all now part of our Zarraffa’s family.

We enjoy being involved in our local Bundaberg community, and we frequently donate to raffles, charities and to community events. We’re also involved in the #lovebundy campaign which is about encouraging our local community to buy local.

The Sugarland store currently supports a number of local sporting events and teams, and last year we took part in our local Pageant of Lights festival and all of the children were excited to meet our mascots, Ziggy & Zarra!

We love the consistency and support across the Zarraffa’s brand and the dedication that all franchisees have for their business – it’s a true family environment!

Scott is an RAAF veteran and Ipswich is a large defence community, so we really enjoy showing our support by sending frequent care packages to the Middle East. We fill them with our delicious coffee beans, capsules, syrups, cups and everything you would need to enjoy the perfect cup of coffee while deployed!
