GIVING DOLLARS WHERE IT COUNTS
IN SUPPORT OF NATIONAL CHILD PROTECTION WEEK, ZARRAFFA’S HAS DONATED $15,000 TO PARTNER CHARITY, ACT FOR KIDS.
The organisation aims to raise funds to support therapy programs for abused and neglected children, especially during National Child Protection Week.
CEO Kenton Campbell, is proud to do his part to assist some of the community’s most vulnerable people.
“We’ve had a long association with Act for Kids and believe in the work they do,” said Kenton. “The whole organisation is to be commended and we encourage our customers and the public to join us in support.”
Act for Kids is an Australian charity providing free therapy and support services to children and families who have experienced, or are at risk of child abuse and neglect.
“Emotional abuse and neglect has now become the most common form of child abuse recorded in five states and territories,” says Act for Kids CEO, Dr Neil Carrington.
“In 2013-2014 there were 40,844 confirmed cases of child abuse and neglect, that is one child every 13 minutes.”
The Act for Kids organisation has helped thousands of children and families since they commenced operations over 27 years ago, growing from one part time therapist to a team of almost 250 today.
“We are proud of the work we have achieved to date but there is still work to be done and this can only happen with the support from the general public and our sponsors, including Zarraffa’s Coffee.”
The charity aims to recruit 10,000 Courageous Crusaders during National Child Protection Week, with a simple $20 donation you can be part of the crusade to help put a stop to the mistreatment of children everywhere.
