a taste of brazil’s finest

Sourced from Brazil's Sul de Minas region, this release celebrates the craftsmanship and rich coffee heritage that has made Brazilian coffee a favourite among coffee lovers around the world.

This Single Origin is grown by the Araujo family at Rancho Fundo Farm, where generations of experience have been dedicated to producing exceptional coffee through sustainable farming practices.

Located in one of Brazil's most respected coffee-growing regions, the farm has earned multiple sustainability certifications, reflecting its ongoing commitment to responsible farming practices and exceptional coffee production.

With a cupping score of 83.25, this coffee highlights the warmth, richness and approachability that Brazilian coffees are known for. It's a profile that's easy to enjoy while offering something truly distinctive through its rare Peaberry beans, adding another layer of uniqueness to this release.

Rare by Nature

What makes this release particularly special is its rare Peaberry beans.

A coffee cherry is the fruit that grows on a coffee plant. Inside each cherry are the seeds that eventually become the coffee beans we roast and brew. Most coffee cherries contain two seeds, which develop side by side and form the familiar flat-sided coffee bean. Occasionally, however, a coffee cherry develops with just one seed. With more room to grow, it forms into a smaller, rounder bean known as a Peaberry.

Peaberries occur naturally in only around 5 - 10% of coffee cherries, making them a rare discovery. They are often celebrated for producing a naturally sweet, balanced and flavourful cup, adding something truly unique to the Corrego do Ouro release.
