The noticeable difference in our Single Origin beans can be defined by one word: flavour.
One of the oldest plantations in Tanzania, the Kilimanjaro Plantation is located under the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro and benefits from the cool and unique climate. The land remains well irrigated by glacial run off, with fertile volcanic soil and strategically planted indigenous shade trees that help to stabilise the microclimate and protect the soil and coffee plants from the East African sun.
These beans have a cupping score of 85, and deliver a flavour profile featuring notes of honey, sharp currants, orange and smooth dark chocolate.
Single Origin coffee is grown within a distinct geographic location, meaning either a single farm or one country. It is influenced by specific natural attributes such as climate, landscape, and altitude where the beans were grown. Each bean delivers a bespoke flavour, providing taste profiles that might sometimes get lost in a blend.
