ZARRAFFA’S COFFEE LAUNCHES FIRST STORE IN VICTORIA
In a landmark week for Australia’s leading specialty coffee retailer, Zarraffa’s Coffee has officially opened the doors to its first store in Victoria at Pakenham South.
The new Pakenham South drive thru marks the brand’s arrival in Australia’s beating heart of coffee culture, bringing Zarraffa’s signature blend of quality, consistency and convenience to the south-east suburb of Melbourne.
Founder and Managing Director, Kenton Campbell, said the milestone was one of the proudest moments in the company’s almost 30-year history.
“Opening our first Victorian store is a significant step for Zarraffa’s. We have long admired Melbourne’s coffee culture, it’s a city where quality and ritual matter, and we’re excited to bring our own unique take on specialty coffee into that landscape,” Mr Campbell said.
“Pakenham South marks a milestone in our southern expansion. We opened our first store in South Australia this week and today we make our debut in Victoria – a defining moment for the brand as we expand our footprint into two brand-new states and markets.”
“The Pakenham South store is just the beginning of our journey, we see a future where Zarraffa’s is not only part of Melbourne’s coffee conversation, but an everyday part of life for Victorians right across the state.”
Combining the speed and convenience of the brand’s innovative drive thru model, the full-service store offers larger traffic capacity and seamless flow, ideal for busy mornings and on-the-go coffee lovers.
The bigger format site features an internal café setting, giving locals the option to sit down and stay for a while to enjoy the brand’s full menu of quality barista-crafted coffee and food pairings.
Situated in a convenient location and surrounded by high-traffic commercial precincts and existing quick service restaurants (QSR) nearby, the new store offers greater visibility and accessibility for commuters and locals alike.
Proudly owned and operated by seasoned franchisees, Jodie and David Pourre, who also run two successful Zarraffa’s Coffee stores in Queensland’s south-east at Worongary and Nerang.
Partnering with their long-time Operations Manager Stephanie Armiger, and husband Steven, to lead the brand’s expansion into the state.

“At the heart of it all, our commitment as a brand has never changed and what sets us apart is the strength of our franchise family. Jodie, David, Stephanie and Steven represent what Zarraffa’s stands for and we know they will carry the torch for the brand in Victoria to create a lasting presence here,”
Collectively, the franchisees bring deep experience in hospitality, customer service and community engagement.

Jodie Pourre started out with the brand in 2010 with an extensive background in the QSR industry and has gone on to be a franchisee for over 6 years alongside husband, David, who has strong ties to the region after being born and raised in Victoria.
While Stephanie and Steven have packed up their bags and relocated to the coffee capital from the Gold Coast – where Stephanie originally progressed through the ranks of the brand starting as a barista in 2016 to Store then Operations Manager under the mentorship of Jodie and David – they plan to embed themselves into the local community and steer the operations of their first store.
Jodie shared her sentiments on the reinvestment back into the brand with this exciting joint venture.
“It’s a lovely feeling being a part of the Zarraffa’s family, where existing franchisees have the ability to uplift and support existing team members and families to progress toward becoming business owners – it comes back to the strong values of Zarraffa’s,” said Jodie.
“For David and I, there is nothing more rewarding than being able to invest in Stephanie and Steven, to see them progress, grow and succeed in their own opportunities in life with our backing is truly special. We’re all really excited to fly the flag in Victoria with Zarraffa’s flagship store.”
Since taking over the reins of their first Zarraffa’s Coffee store, the Pourre family’s journey with the brand reflects a deep passion for coffee and community, which will now extend to supporting local sporting clubs, schools, and community groups in greater Melbourne.
The new location will employ more than 30 locals through a dedicated training and recruitment program and will deliver the brand’s signature specialty coffee experience to the region.
It will feature our renowned range of signature coffee blends, along with a selection of delicious food options including the brand’s new freshly baked in store range, breakfast items, and savoury snacks to complement the coffee experience.
